Family and education

A successful relocation is about your family's well-being first. We help identify and secure places at suitable schools and educational institutions, and we help your family settle into the new community: doctors, clubs, everyday services and the people worth knowing.

Visas, business migration and investment migration

Most relocations stand or fall on the visa. We help founders, company owners and their families choose and obtain the right residence route in many countries, and we have been through these processes ourselves. The work has three parts: choosing the route that fits your situation and timeline, building the business case and the documentation the authorities and the bank behind them will ask for, and coordinating the application with licensed immigration counsel in the country concerned, who prepares and files it.

The routes we work with most often:

• Business migration visas for founders and executives who move with their company or set one up in the new country: in the United States the E-2 treaty investor, L-1 intracompany transfer and O-1 routes; in the United Kingdom the Innovator Founder and Skilled Worker routes through a company of your own; in Ireland the Start-up Entrepreneur Programme; comparable founder and self-employment routes in Portugal, Spain, Malta, Singapore and elsewhere.
• Investment migration visas, where a country grants residence to people who invest in it: the EB-5 immigrant investor route in the United States, the investor residence programmes of Portugal, Spain, Malta and Ireland, Singapore's Global Investor Programme, long-term residence visas in the United Arab Emirates, and the residence routes of Panama, Paraguay, Uruguay and other countries in Latin America. We set out the actual conditions, costs and timelines of each, including the physical-presence and tax consequences, before you commit to anything.
• Family and dependant permits so that spouses and children arrive with the right status from day one, and schooling and healthcare can be arranged around it.
• Permanent residence and, in time, naturalisation where a family plans to stay: what has to be documented from the first day so the later application is straightforward.

We do not sell residence programmes, we take no commission from any programme, developer or intermediary, and every application is prepared and filed by licensed immigration counsel. What we add is the operational side: the business plan and corporate structure the route requires, the banking and source-of-funds documentation, the sequence of steps, and one point of contact across the countries involved.

Housing

Foreign housing markets need a trusted local view. We guide you through renting or buying a home, with vetted local agents and counsel, so the house is ready when the visa is.

Personal security

Where a move raises questions of personal security, we work with established local specialists on a proportionate plan for your home, your travel and your family's daily routine.

Continuity and estate planning support

An international move changes which laws apply to your family and your company. We help you identify what needs to be reviewed, from wills and powers of attorney to company succession and insurance, and we coordinate that review with qualified local counsel in each country involved. The aim is continuity: the arrangements you have made should still work after the move, and be documented so that they can be relied on.
